YAKUZA × RIMOTO

Where performance is proven, not promised

The collaboration between Rimoto and Yakuza didn’t begin with a product it began with a conversation. When Mr Rajesh from Team Yakuza reached out, there was already a sense of alignment. With rider Ajai involved and a shared understanding of what racing truly demands, the connection was built on trust from the very start. It wasn’t about simply coming together as two names but about working towards something that could perform under real pressure.

The idea behind the collaboration was clear from the beginning: to support serious racers with high-performance gear while continuously testing and improving it in real racing conditions. Instead of relying on controlled environments or assumptions, the focus was on letting the track shape the product. Every race became an opportunity to understand what works, what doesn’t, and what can be made better.
As the collaboration moved forward, it naturally became a feedback-driven process. Yakuza riders used the gear extensively on the track, pushing it through speed, strain, and unpredictable conditions. Their real-time experiences became the foundation for improvement. At Rimoto, this translated into constant refinement adjusting fits, upgrading protection, and improving durability to meet the demands of competitive racing.
Rimoto’s contribution remained focused on creating premium racing suits, gloves, and protective gear designed for performance, safety, and long-term reliability. At the same time, Yakuza brought in the reality of the track offering valuable insights, testing the gear in competitive environments, and representing it across various racing events. Their presence not only strengthened the development process but also expanded the reach and visibility of the products.

Over time, this collaboration led to the creation of custom racing suits, upgraded protective pads, and performance-tested gloves. Each product carried the mark of real-world use, shaped not in theory but through continuous testing and adaptation. The most exciting part of the journey has been seeing the gear perform under actual race conditions, evolving with every iteration and proving its capability where it matters most.
The process, however, was not without its challenges. Fine-tuning the balance between fit, protection, and durability for extreme racing conditions required constant attention and effort. But these challenges played an important role in pushing both teams to refine their approach and raise the standard of what they were building together.
What makes the Yakuza × Rimoto collaboration truly special is the foundation it stands on trust, mutual respect, and a shared passion for racing. It goes beyond a typical partnership, becoming a continuous cycle of testing, learning, and improving. In the end, it is not just about the gear that comes out of it but about the process that shapes it.
