We offer repairs and alterations outside of the warranty period at our in-house manufacturing facilities. With years of experience producing for European brands, we’re committed to helping your gear last as long as possible. We’ll be happy to repair it for you at a reasonable cost.

We’re happy to offer repairs for non-Rimoto products at a reasonable charge. Our goal is to support the riding community in any way we can!

Repair service provided:

Functional repair:

We offer what we call "functional repairs," meaning the repair will be strong and restore most of the original functionality, though it might not look exactly like it did when new. For example, replacing an entire panel on a waterproof jacket can be extremely complicated and costly, and sometimes even impossible. The seams are taped, sometimes bonded, and multiple layers of material are involved. Opening them up can weaken the surrounding material. Patching, however, is simple, 100% waterproof, and durable, with fully taped seams on all waterproof patches. While we’ll do our best to match colors, the patches will be visible—wear them proudly!

Replacement of panels & trims:

We always want you to ride safely, but if something goes wrong, we’ve got your back. Depending on the extent of the damage, we’ll work on replacing the damaged panels to restore your jacket without compromising its functionality or integrity. You may notice a slight difference in color between your jacket and the new panel due to natural fading from UV exposure or the environment. For damaged zippers or buckles, we can easily replace them, helping extend the life of your gear.

Alteration:

With our own manufacturing unit, we’re happy to offer alterations to your riding gear wherever possible, ensuring a better, more customized fit. Below are the types of alterations we can make to your existing jacket or pants.

  • Sleeve shortage 
  • Sleeve extension 
  • Reduce the body width (chest, armhole, waist, hip)
  • Reduce pant length 
  • Extend pant length 


Repair & Alteration Process 

To initiate a valid repair or alteration request, simply fill out and submit the "Repair/Alteration Request" form on rimotogear.com. Please note, any contact made prior to submitting the form won’t count as a formal request.

Once we receive your request, our team will assess the feasibility of the repair or alteration, which will be at Rimoto's discretion. We reserve the right to accept or decline any request, and we’ll confirm our decision via email.

Please wait for our email confirmation before shipping your product. Once you receive it, you’ll need to send the product to the address we provide. The cost of return shipping will be your responsibility, and Rimoto is not liable for any damage, delay, or loss while the product is in transit to our facility.

Please ensure the product is clean before sending it, as dirty products may incur a cleaning fee—dirt can damage our sewing machines.

For repairs or alterations outside the warranty period, a charge will apply. We’ll share the invoice and payment details via email and discuss them with you. Once payment is confirmed, our team will begin working on your product.

After the repair or alteration is complete, we’ll ship the product back to the address you provided in the request form.
