Fit & Function

The Arcot Jacket includes a YKK centre front zipper for durability and smooth operation. Multi-adjustment sleeves, along with a hook-and-loop waist and cuff closure system, allow you to customize your fit for maximum comfort and performance. The loop connection attaches the jacket to your pants, keeping your jacket in place as you cruise down the roads.

Equipped with Level 2 CE-certified protectors, this jacket offers optimal impact protection and is tested for high-temperature conditions. The adjustable protectors' position ensures personal comfort while offering serious defence. The back protector compartment is designed to fit a Level 2 certified back protector.

Follow these simple steps to clean your jacket without compromising its durability or waterproofing.

Before You Wash

  • Remove all armour and inner liners. Most protectors sit in dedicated pockets and can be accessed via velcro or zippers.
  • If your jacket has a removable waterproof membrane or thermal vest, unzip it before washing.
  • Be sure to brush off any stubborn dirt using a soft brush.
  • Close all zippers and fasteners to prevent fabric damage.

Washing Instructions- Machine Wash

  • Wash separately in the machine on a gentle cycle (max 30°C) or hand wash for extra care.
  • Use a neutral unscented liquid detergent—never regular detergent or fabric softener, as they can damage the waterproof membrane and seam tape.
  • Avoid spin cycles to maintain fabric integrity.

Washing Instructions- Hand Wash

  • Use a mild tech wash or neutral unscented liquid detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals, fabric softeners, or granular detergents.
  • Mix one cap of detergent per garment in lukewarm water.
  • Soak for at least 30 minutes and gently agitate with your hands.
  • Focus on stubborn grime. You can use a soft brush if needed.
  • Rinse thoroughly until all detergent is removed.

Drying & Post-Wash Care

  • Hang to dry at room temperature in a well-ventilated area—don’t wring out or place them in direct sunlight or heat.
  • To maintain waterproofing, treat your jacket with a reproofing spray every third washing circle (2000 km) or as needed.
  • Regularly clean and lubricate zippers with Vaseline or candle wax.

A little care goes a long way. Proper washing and storage will extend your gear’s life, keeping it in peak condition for all your adventures.

All our Rimoto pants are compatible with the Arcot jacket! It comes with a connection zipper that allows you to easily attach it to any Rimoto protective riding pants. You can even use our waist connector to make your favorite pair of denim compatible with the Arcot jacket. By connecting your jacket and pants together, keep the jacket from riding up during a fall and providing additional protection.
